Trip to the art gallery!

Hi, welcome to my blog.

This is the Christchurch art gallery :

And this is Tumu:

On Monday we got the opportunity to go to there. The first bus left at 9:30, which had tumu 1 on it. (That would normally be Mrs Carney’s class but the teachers switched it up and Miss Gill took them. They came back around 11:00-11:30 am, I’m in tumu two and Mrs Carney took us to the art gallery, our bus took of around 12:00 pm, when three of my other friends and I saw the bus we immediately saw the four seater that we sprinted to get, when we arrived at the gallery we were around 10 minutes early so we just played outside on the grass, when we got in we had two lovely instructors who showed us two mesmerising painting both by the artist Louise Henderson, the first one they showed us was called December which was an abstract style painting that looked like this:

The next one they showed was another Louise Henderson abstract painting but this one was called November and looked like this: The lady doing the tour told us that one of the paintings were missing, so we got to make one! She told us that we can trace our initials, mine is L.R.F. We got to mix and match colours and make our own, the colours that I chose were purple, green and blue, in the end I looked a bit silly because the colours were darker then I intended but still looked fine, when we were done we cleaned up and washed our hand and when i tell you he bathrooms were fancy I mean it, everything was on the wall and the soap dispenser was so cool.

Here are some photos of what the Experience looked like (these are not of me):

We are so grateful that they let us come and look and make art. This was a great experience for not only me but the rest of my hub!

Have you ever gone here!

Maths create week 5- Filling a house

Hi, welcome to or back to my blog.

Today’s blog is going to be about this weeks maths create. We have a some very fun maths create recently, but this week we got set with a harder yet fun task, we had to fill up a house with furniture and different appliances. Our budget was 60,00, but our teacher Mr.T made Kohia’s budget 30,00 which I thought was a good price range. Here is a layout of the house had to fill: its a bit blury but it has one garage+ laundry room, two bathrooms (one in the on-sweat), four bedrooms, one lounge and dinning room+ kitchen and. You can also get outdoor furniture but it does not show that on the plan of the house.

Here is the list of stuff we had to buy:

You could go to any store you wanted, for my furniture I mostly went to Moka for furniture and for decor I mostly went to Kmart.

In total I spent: $24,141.14, wow that is a lot of 1’s and 4’s. Here is the slide I put everything on if you want to see what I ended up buying:

Thanks for reading my blog post, Would you live in this house?

Maths Create for this week- Birthday party!

Hi, welcome back to my blog. This week we had a very fun maths create. We had to plan a party with a budget of $260.

First we had to pick a cake to make and buy all the ingredients for the cake. I picked a quick and easy birthday cake and got all my ingredients from Packnsave, Countdown and New World (I mostly got them from Packnsave and Countdown tough).

Then we had to plan out food that we would have. I spent about $60 (59.94). Then I had to plan out what activates we would do. We had to be out of the house for at least an hour, so I decided to go to the park for an hour, (which is free). I spent most of the rest of my money on actives, I got some white t-shirts and fabric pens, to make some of our own t-shirts, then I got an 8 pack of bubble wands for only $2.50! also got 8 face masks for $28. I thought that will be enough activates for 2 hours. I spent $80.05 on this so now its time to make some goody bags.

I got some cheap paper goody bags to put the stuff in from Kmart for $2.50, first I got 2 packs of lip mask (4 in each pack). That was $24. Then I got Christmas pens ($1.50 each) and spent $12 on that. Every got person got a bag of lollies each (50 cents a bag of lollies), I spent $4 on that. I got a 4 pack of Hi-chew which are $5 a bag, and I had to get since there were 8 people coming to my party and the pack only had 4. Last thing I put there was headbands which were about $1.10 each. I had finally complete my party which altogether was $202.45.

Thanks for reading about this blog. If you would like to see the slide put all the details of the party on look below this:

Would you go my party?
